A large number of Shizuoka-based businesses have been expanding their business overseas. In particular, many Shizuoka businesses are now doing business in China and Southeast Asia. Because these regions have become areas of particular interest to Shizuoka companies, the Prefecture has opened representative offices in Shanghai and Singapore in order to better support our local business and collect the latest business information.

China Office (Shanghai)

In August 1994, the Shizuoka Prefecture China Office was established in order to support the business activities of Shizuoka-based businesses operating in China. The office is located in the Hongqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone in Shanghai, a city that is at the heart of the Chinese economy. The area, which is crowded with offices, hotels and convention centers, can be reached in 20 minutes by car from the Shanghai Hongqiao Airport and in about an hour from Shanghai Pudong International Airport.

South-East Asia Office (Singapore)

In 1988, the Shizuoka Prefecture South-East Asia Office was established in Singapore in order to support the business activities of Shizuoka-based businesses operating in the Asia and Oceania regions centering on Southeast Asia. The office is located in the JETRO Singapore office in Singapore’s central business district on Shenton Way. The office can be reached in 25 minutes by car from Changi Airport.
