Yaizu Fishing Port

|
The port is well-known as the base for the pelagic and offshore fisheries and is a prominent point for the unloading of
caught fish. The port actually covers two areas: "the Yaizu Area" mainly for
pelagic fisheries with tuna and bonito, and "the Kogawa Area" for its offshore
fisheries with mackerel and horse mackerel.

AQUAS Yaizu
|
|
AQUAS Yaizu is the thalassotherapy (this word is coined from the words
Thalassa (in Greek) = Sea + Therapy (in English) = Treatment) and fitness
facility utilizing the deep seawater taken from Suruga Bay, the deepest
sea in Japan. This facility offers two different programs: "water programs" and "land programs". The Water Programs give you the opportunity to swim
in the pool filled with the heated deep seawater and experience the individual
thalassotherapy treatments. The therapy uses natural resources such as
seawater and seaweed to increase the natural healing power of humans.
The Land Programs enable you to work out
using training machines in the training room and join in the exciting fitness
programs such as yoga and aerobics at the studio.
Both of the programs are designed to
prevent any adult diseases caused by daily stress or lack of exercise and to
regain the energy that you were originally born with.
After being refreshed at AQUAS Yaizu, you
can enjoy savoring some of Yaizu's culinary specialties and shop for souvenirs at
the "Umi-eru Yaizu" which is located right next to AQUAS Yaizu.
