Triumph International (Japan) Ltd.

Customer Satisfaction Delivered by Triumph's Shizuoka Center

Company profile
Triumph International (Japan) Co., Ltd., which produces some of the nation's best-known women's underwear brands, was established in 1964 as the Japanese subsidiary of Triumph International. In fact, Triumph International is the world's largest manufacturer of women's underwear, with 140 sales sites in 140 countries, and production sites in 55 countries.
Triumph set up its “Shizuoka Center" in the Daitou Kamihijikata Industrial Park in Kakegawa City in September 1995 as the hub for the distribution of its goods all over Japan.

The following is a testimonial from Triumph International (Japan).
Triumph's Shizuoka Center

Reasons for selecting Shizuoka
The reasons why we chose to locate our distribution center in the Daitou Kamihijikata Industrial Park are as follows:
  • The Kakegawa Interchange on the Tomei Expressway is only 15 minutes away by car.
  • The site is located roughly in the center of Japan, which provides good access to both the northern and southern ends of Japan (Hokkaido and Okinawa) equally.
In addition to these ideal geographical conditions, the very active efforts that Kakegawa City* and the prefecture made to make us feel comfortable appealed to us.

* Formerly Daitou Town before being consolidated with Kakegawa City

Future business prospects
In January 2006, the Shizuoka Center was expanded and equipped with state-of-art automated facilities to achieve suitable and appropriate warehousing and inventory control in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the foundation of Triumph International (Japan).
Also, Triumph has acquired neighboring land from the Public Enterprise Bureau of Shizuoka Prefecture, so everything is already in place for future business expansion and a quick response to varying consumer needs. The Shizuoka Center will continue to deliver top-quality products and top-level customer satisfaction.
Mr. Yoshio Amakawa, Distribution Manager Surprisingly low employee turnover rate
“The workforce employed locally when the Shizuoka Center was initially set up has stayed with Triumph for a long time, so their knowledge and experience is very dependable." says Mr. Yoshio Amakawa, Distribution Manager.
