In cooperation with Shizuoka Prefecture, the company has designed and developed a Japanese style dining set that minimizes the effort needed for getting up, something that is often difficult for senior citizens with conventional Japanese style low tables.

Universal Design Example

• Japanese style dining set with chairs that have a seating height of 30 centimeters, which has been found to be an optimal height for elderly women, because it minimizes the effort needed for getting up. The seat portion of the chair also rotates by 90 degrees to either side.
