
Examples of universal design can be found near you. One example, notched telephone cards, were originally developed for people with visual impairments. They have become useful for all people because of the increased ease in inserting them correctly into a telephone. (Universal design in products is characterized as "things for common use" or "Kyoyohin"). When you go out, or while you are at home, please look for universal designs.
